The Opportunity

Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.08 – $26.42
Unit Clerk reports to the Director of Care, Program Manager and/or Registered Nurse in Charge. The Unit Clerk is a combined clerical/receptionist position that coordinates the day to day activities of the nursing unit. The Unit Clerk provides support to residents, their family and visitors in an environment that enables independence, safety, dignity and high quality care to the resident’s well being. A sound knowledge of nursing unit procedures, excellent customer service and excellent organizational skills are required to carry out the broad variety of duties.
Consider applying if you can read, write, and speak English effectively; and have sound knowledge of nursing unit procedures, of medical terminology, excellent customer service, strong computer skills and proficient organizational skills. Experience working with the elderly, chronically ill or the disabled is an asset.
