Shepherd’s Care Foundation/Prince of Peace is located in Rocky View County which offers tranquil country living close to the city of Calgary. The seniors’ residence at Prince of Peace consists of 32 memory care suites and 159 studio/one-bedroom assisted living suites. The site, surrounded with views of the open prairie and the Rockies, provides a “person-centered” care, home-like environment with small groupings of private bedrooms and associated spaces in a secured therapeutic facility.

The Opportunity – Health Administration Assistant

Permanent Full-time – FTE 1.0 – 77.50 hours biweekly

Wages:$21.08-$26.42.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Health Administration Assistant (HAA) coordinates and maintains the care staffing schedules in compliance with collective agreements, filling vacant shifts, posting vacant positions, and maintaining all documentation.

In addition to the scheduling responsibilities, the Health Administration Assistant performs various duties including:

  • updating client specific task sheets;
  • assisting with the hiring process;
  • managing incoming medical documents and distributes information to the appropriate department(s);
  • completing payroll functions associated with Care Department; and
  • providing general office clerical support.

Consider applying if you have two years experience in a general administrative support position; strong organizational skills, can read, write, and speak English fluently and have intermediate knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience working in a health care environment and with collective agreements is considered an asset.
